MEIOSIS STOP-MOTION VIDEO

I worked on this project with Simone, and we used stop-motion. The primary focus of this presentation is the movement of the interior of the cells as they go through the phases of meiosis. Meiosis is cell division that occurs only in sexual cells (gametes); the outcome of meiosis is 4 daughter cells (from one parent cell) with half the amount of genetic material of a normal cell. This allows each organism to have a full set of chromosomes instead of having more/less genetic material than is needed. Doing this project enhanced my learning because Simone and I had the opportunity to do hands-on work that demonstrates the phases of meiosis. This process helped me significantly because I am a visual learner, and I found that the concepts I had learned in class were reinforced by doing this project. Simone and I are very happy with the outcome of our project, as we spent a lot of time and energy making it as clear, thorough, and helpful as possible!
